With the FN Compensator cutting muzzle flip 25% and auto-indexing with a twist, faster follow-up shots and instant takedown for maintenance are the new standards in compensated pistols. More often holster manufacturers are accounting for muzzle devices in their holster designs so this upgrade should not be a limiting factor for you in finding a holster either. Another premium upgrade to the 509 CC Edge that concealed carry advocates may want is an optics-ready slide. You additionally get all of the optics plates you will need to mount nearly any red dot you could think of to
it. You also receive a premium trigger from FN in this package. The FN 509 CC Edge fire control group dramatically improves speed and accuracy over standard firearms. A flat-faced trigger has a smooth take-up and clean, 90-degree break. When paired with the high-endurance striker, the advanced, factory-installed fire control group produces a roughly 5.6 Lb trigger pull.
What is also nice about this handgun is that you get all the magazines you could need. You can use 10- round, 12-round, and/or 15-round magazines that will mate up perfectly to the firearm. So, whether you want an ultra-slim profile for under clothing or potentially more rounds on board, you can have the best of both worlds. The only thing that might shy people away from this handgun is the price point. The FN 509 CC Edge retails for $1,569.
