We have discussed in previous weeks about how popular concealed carry pistols are becoming in the industry as a whole. More and more shooters are taking it upon themselves to protect themselves and their loved ones. This could be attributed to the availability of instructors teaching more concealed carry classes, and without getting political, also the amount of unrest in our country as of late. We will take the optimistic high-road and be glad that people are expressing more interest in firearms and wanting to learn more. Similarly, placing micro red dots on handguns has become exceedingly popular in the past couple years for the bevy of benefits it provides the shooter, too. The only shortcoming in the category of micro red dots for handguns is most are foreign-made, have suspect durability, and are still difficult to obtain in the US. For all of those reasons, it is very exciting to hear that Trijicon has announced their New RMRcc micro red dot (Ruggedized Miniature Reflex for Concealed Carry).
Trijicon has filled the void in the US market for an American-made, durable, and now readily available micro red dot to fit all of the popular concealed carry pistols that previously could not accept a red dot. The New Trijicon RMRcc fits the SIG Sauer P365, Springfield Hellcat, Smith & Wesson Shield, and numerous 9mm Glock models just to name a few. In total, the Trijicon RMRcc is being debuted with over 30 makes and models of handguns it will fit through either directly mounting to the firearm (think optics ready models) or by the means of a dovetail mount that can be purchased from Trijicon. One of the highlights of the Trijicon RMRcc are its overall size or footprint on handguns. The dilemma with most red dots placed on handguns is that they are comically large in comparison to the pistol – this is not so with the RMRcc. It is small enough where no excess of the micro red dot overhangs the slide; it is a clean, crisp fit. Also, there is the legendary durability backed behind every product that Trijicon produces. If you literally want to pound nails or rack your slide off your tailgate you can do that with the RMRcc.
The reason why the Trijicon RMRcc is poised to soar to new heights in demand is because of the advantage micro red dots give their user. Most people would assume that the RMRcc will make you more accurate which is not necessarily true. What all micro red dots do though is typically make you significantly faster a shooting. You can engage targets more quickly, the dot is easier to see in varying lighting situations, and the additional confidence you gain in your own shooting ability can rollover into more accuracy – a tangential benefit of shooting the RMRcc. With all of this in mind, give the Trijicon RMRcc a look if you are in the market for a new micro red dot for one of your concealed carry pistols.
