Welcome back to the 47th installment of my blog, in which I don’t claim to be an expert, in fact, the opposite. I’m a new user to the AR platform and want to share my findings and experiences as I go through and build rifles as well as being the Operations Manager at Tyrant Designs.

If someone were to ask me why and how a new flamethrower manufactured by Elon Musk’s The Boring Company, pertained to a firearm blog I might not have an answer for you. I’m not an Elon fanboy like I see so many people on the internet, but I do enjoy a good weapon.

In case you missed it, The Boring Company has manufactured a new type of flamethrower that actually looks like a rifle. I give them a B+ for it being very visually appealing (I’d throw a MOD Grip and a HALO MiniVert on it!). As it pertains to its specs and functionality, the details are very vague.

Retailing for $500, the flamethrower has already had 20,000 pre-orders. The goal was to raise over $10 million for The Boring Companies tunnel business. The company has plans to reinvent our ground transportation means by having multi-level tunnels underground to help reduce travel congestion.

California State Assembly member and resident “Wet Blanket”, Miguel Santiago, is filing legislation to prohibit the sale and distribution of these flamethrowers. His reasoning was something about California wildfires increasing but to be honest I stopped paying attention because I don’t need that kind of negativity in my life.

Here are my 2 favorite movies that feature a flamethrower.
